Enroll at University

It was 4th of September. We were going to the university to register today. We left early in the morning. First, we went to the bank, we had to deposit the fee, that is, the mortgage. When we got to the bank, the end of the tail did not appear. Fortunately, it was only half an hour since the 3-4 cases left for this job.

After we deposited the money to the bank, we started waiting for buses to Umuttepe where the university campus was located. All the buses that came alone were full of clicks. Last time we barely touched one. We arrived at Umuttepe by 10 o'clock. The university was a parent day, so crowded. Everyone came to register, some with his mother, some with his father, some with his friends. Then they gave us a form we came in and filled it out. I handed over my papers and got my student ID. They then told us that we had to go to another desk and get information about the preparatory class. I headed for the show they showed. On the 11th of the month, he said that it would be a leveling exam and his time. But I had nothing to do with English. Now what I can do in the placement test. But it was imperative to take the placement test. In the meantime, we have paid the registration fee from the bazaar. There was an official confluence in front of the bank inside the university.

Umuttepe is a very interesting campus. When you walk in through the university entrance, you wow what kind of university you are coming to, but when you move towards the insides, you are officially going to a construction site and you are surprised. Of course, that was year 2006. It's already over, construction site jobs. And I was going to study in the city center this year. The preparatory classes were in the city center. There is also an interesting event. They divided the faculty of science and literature into two. There were numerical sections in the A section and verbal sections in the B section, called F-Literature and Fen-Literature B. I will be at Science-Literature B next year. BİZ ÜNİVERSİTELİYİZ BİZ

Günlerden 4 eylüldü. Bu gün kayıt yaptırmaya üniversiteye gidecektik. Yengemin kardeşiyle sabah erkenden evden çıktık. İlk olarak bankaya gittik, kayıt parası yani harç yatırmamız gerekiyordu. Bankada vardığımızda kuyruğun sonu gözükmüyordu. Neyse ki 3-4 kasa bu iş için ayrıldığından yarım saatte sıra gelmişti.

Bankaya parayı yatırdıktan sonra, üniversite yerleşkesinin bulunduğu Umuttepe'ye giden otobüsleri beklemeye başladık. Yalnız gelen otobüslerin hepsi tıklım tıklım doluydu. En son zar zor birine iliştik. Saat 10'a doğru Umuttepe'ye varmıştık. Üniversite ana baba günüydü, çok kalabalıktı. Herkes kayıt için gelmiş, kimi annesiyle kimi babasıyla, kimileri arkadaşlarıyla. Derken içeri girdik bir form verdiler onu doldurduk. Evraklarımı teslim edip öğrenci kimliğimi aldım. Daha sonra bizi başka bir masaya yönlendirip hazırlık sınıfı hakkında bilgi almamız gerektiğini söylediler. Ben de gösterdikleri masaya yöneldim. Ayın 11'inde seviye belirleme sınavı olacağını ve saatini söylediler. Yalnız ingilizce ile hiç alakam yoktu. Seviye belirleme sınavında ne yapabileceksem artık. Ama seviye belirleme sınavına girmek zorunluymuş. Bu sırada iyi ki kayıt parasını çarşıdan yatırıp gelmişiz. Üniversitenin içindeki bankanın önünde resmen izdiham vardı.

Umuttepe çok enteresan bir kampüstü. Üniversitenin kapısından içeri girdiğinizde, vay be nasıl bir üniversiteye gelmişim diyorsunuz ama biraz içerlere doğru ilerlediğinizde önünüze resmen bir inşaat şantiyesi çıkıyor ve şaşırıyorsunuz. Tabi o zamanlar yıl 2006 idi. Şu an çoktan bitmiştir şantiye işleri. Bir de ben bu sene şehir merkezinde okuyacaktım. Hazırlık sınıfları şehir merkezindeydi. Bir de ilginç bir olay var. Fen- Edebiyat fakültesini ikiye ayırmışlardı. Fen- Edebiyat A ve Fen- Edebiyat B diye, A kısmında sayısal bölümler, B kısmında ise sözel bölümler yer alıyordu. Ben Fen- Edebiyat B kısmında olacaktım önümüzdeki sene. Ama ne bu bölümde ne de bu üniversitede ne de bu şehirde fazla kalmaya niyetim yoktu. Bir şekilde İstanbul'u kazanıp oranın yolunu tutmalıydım...
