MONGGO GUISADO (SAUTEED MUNG BEAN STEW)

Everyday life is not easy, especially to those who can't eat properly everyday. We all work to survive for life, oh not We co'z some people are don't need to work for food. They are born with a golden spoon on their mouth. But ordinary people like me, that who need to work to feed our family atleast 3 times a day, need to be wise and save to survive for everyday cost living. It's hard to feed a family with a large number, yeah it's our fault having a large number, but it is a gift from heaven's above. And we are so thankful for that.

As a mother, it is my duty to gave my family a nutritious food that they need everyday. Not just only food, but it is good for their health especially the kids that needs proper nutrition. I'm not an nutritionist but maybe an expert from experience. We need to budget the money on our hands and think wisely how to expend, and this simple recipe I wanna share to all mother like me.

In the Philippines, ginisang monggo (sauteed mung bean stew), also known as monggo guisado or balatong, is a savoury stew of whole mung beans with prawns or fish. But now I cook it using left over foods. And I wanna show to my fellow steemians the ingridient I use and how I prepared.

*This is my first time to write a blog about foods, and special thank's to @goldendawn #deardawn for suggesting that I can make a twist at my post not just only photography that I usually do, so I apologize if my work not good. Important things to me is you are there to support my work ,my fellow steemians. *

First, I prepared the onion and slice it to a small pieces, one is enough for me it is up to yours if you like to add more. Onion's is good to our health, its a very good source of biotin.

Second is a garlic, cut into pieces or you can use almires or small stone mortar for better juice. Garlic best to lower colesterol Consuming garlic on a daily basis helps to lower cholesterol levels because of the anti-oxidant properties of Allicin. It is also immensely beneficial to regulate blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

Next I prepared the green leafy alugbati, or vine called malabar nightshade, I picked some at my garden. No need to buy at the market.

The alugbati plant bears fruit that ranges in color from dark green to red. Alugbati, though it's not spinach, can be used as a substitute for spinach in salads and other recipes. If you opt to expand your palate and give alugbati a try, you'll get a wealth of nutrients, as well as a few health benefits.

At the garden

Next is dilis or Anchovy (dried fish), it is a left over from fridge. Anchovies are rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals that help in maintaining good health.

Then next is I sauted it with the slices macau or **chinese chorizo **another left over from the fridge.

And then boiled monggo I boiled until it disintegrate, and put the souted ingredients.

After that, I'll put the chicharon and click the stove immediately so that the chicharon not overcooked.
That is the best ingredients for ginisang monggo a Filipino dish that you may like, it's cheapper and swak to the budget of every mommy's out there.
