Die Elbphilharmonie

ist eines von Hamburgs schönsten Gebäuden in der HafenCity, dem neuesten Stadtteil Hamburgs.
Es gilt schon jetzt als neues architektonisches und kulturelles Wahrzeichen der Stadt, das wir den Architekten Herzog & de Meuron verdanken.
Schon seit 2003 wird das Gebäude geplant. Eröffnet wird die Elbphilharmonie am 11. & 12. Januar 2017.
The Elbphilharmonie is one of the most beautiful buildings in HafenCity, the newest quarter in Hamburg. Today, it is already known as the new architectonic and cultural town's landmark, that we owe the architects Herzog & de Meuron.
The building is already planned since 2003. It will open its gates to the public on 11th and 12th January 2017.

Schon jetzt, wenn ich im Zug von Uelzen nach Hamburg fahre, sehe ich bei der Einfahrt zum Hamburger Hauptbahnhof, neben weiteren eindrucksvollen Gebäuden wie dem Spiegel oder den Deichtorhallen, die Elbphilharmonie und weiß sofort: Ich bin in Hamburg.
Even now, when I am travelling from my town to Hamburg, being at the driveway to the central station I already see the Elbphilharmonie, next to other impressive buildings. And I know: I am in Hamburg.

Musik + Konzerte / Music + Concerts:

Durch die Elbphilharmonie soll mehr Musik und Kultur in die Stadt gebracht werden. Denn welche deutsche Stadt könnte das nicht gebrauchen? Hier kann man mit Klassik erster Klasse aus allen Zeitepochen rechnen. Auch Jazz und Pop wird man in den hervorragenden Konzertsälen genießen. Die HamburgMusik wird gemeinsam mit Partnern bis Anfang Juli 2017 über 200 Konzerte im Großen Saal und 100 Konzerte im Kleinen Saal veranstalten. Tickets kann man schon jetzt kaufen!
More music and culture should be brought into the city through the Elbphilharmonie. Here, you can hear the best classic music from all centuries. Additionally, you can also enjoy Jazz and Pop music in the two magnificant concert halls. In July 2017 there will be over 200 concerts in the Grand Saloon and 100 concerts in the Petite Saloon.

Im Großen Saal befinden sich Orchester und Dirigent in der Mitte,um sie herum schließen sich die Zuschauerränge. Der Saal bietet eine innenarchitektonische Qualität von dramatischer Dynamik.
In the Grand Salon, the orchestra and director are located in the middle, around them are seating places for the audience.

Das "Schuhbox" - Gestaltungsprinzip im Kleinen Saal wirkt gemütlich und lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein.
The Petite Saloon is very cozy due to its size and form and you will feel very comfortable here.

Atemberaubende Glasfassade: Die 1.000 gebogenen Fassadenelemente reflektieren das Sonnenlicht nach außen und minimieren die Sonneneinstrahlung ins Innere. Die Scheiben sollen an überdimensionale Stimmgabeln erinnern.
Stunning glass-facade: 1.000 elements of the facade reflect the sunlight outward and minimize the solar radiation to the inside. The windows should represent giant tuning forks.

Die Elbphilharmonie bei Nacht.

Die Plaza ist die Verbindung zwischen dem historischen und dem modernen Teil der Elbphilharmonie. Schon bald ab dem 4. November 2016 ist die 4.000 Quadratmeter große Plaza, die sich in 37 Metern Höhe befindet, eröffnet. Jeder ist hier willkommen und kann bei Kaffee einen Panoramablick über die Stadt und den Hafen genießen.
The Plaza is a connecting element between the historic and modern part of the Elbphilharmonie. From 4th November 2016 the 4.000 square meter big Plaza, which is 37 meter of height, will be opening. Everyone is welcome here. You can drink a coffee and enjoy the panorama view to the city and haven.

Wer einmal um die ganze Elbphilharmonie herum spazieren will, geht auf die Außenplaza.
If you want to go around the whole building, you can go to the terrace.

Die Elbphilharmonie ist nicht nur ein Gebäude für die Konzerthallen, sondern beinhaltet auch ein Fünf Sterne Hotel mit 250 Räumen sowie 47 Appartements. Das Bild zeigt einen ersten Einblick in ein Hotelzimmer gestaltet vom Designers Tassilo Bost.
