80 days German-Steem-Bootcamp ... a quick look back ...
Many thanks to all supporters of the German-Steem-Bootcamp, which has now been in existence for 80 days.
Who would have thought that when I founded the GSB on 19 May this year, that we could achieve so much in so little time?
At the beginning we were certainly smiled at by some, even called a new voting circle and many thought that the whole project will get lost in the sand.
I think I have clearly shown that my sole purpose is to strengthen the German-speaking community and to ensure that new members are integrated into the Steem community.
There were and still are many aspects of Steem that urgently need to be improved so that this platform can flourish. And I want to do this by means possible and to the best of my ability.
Infancy has been passed and when I look back at we have achieved, I am really proud of our little troupe. We have nearly 120 active members on our Discord Server. We have received almost 5800 SP in delegations for our curator account. Most of them have been delegated by our members, who possess little SP on their own.
If you would like to support us with a delegation of SP, then we would be very pleased.

The curator rotates every three days. This means all votes are given exclusively by hand and not by bot. The fact that different people take on the role of curator also covers several areas of interest. Within four weeks we have reached the seventh place of the top 200 curators in German-speaking countries. It has to be said that the top 5 curators have well above 10,000 SP. I think that this statistic can stand for itself. Everyone can get an idea of who we award a vote to and to what amount.

About one week ago I created a trail that follows our curator. This means that if our curator awards an upvote, the members of the trail will also vote with their account. In just a few days we have found more than 40 people who like the way we cooperate and follow the trail.

To reward all the active members of our Discord a little for their efforts, I have devised a reward form. Five members are selected each month. These members then receive a 100% upvote every day on a comment they make as a small reward. I initiated the reward system privately and it has nothing to do with the GSB. It is initially funded by me through a delegation of 500 SP and I also use revenue I have earned through the referral links from Byteball to lease more SP. We also received a donation of 50 Steem.

So what happens with the GSB? In the next weeks we will establish system and order in the administration of our Discord server. We are still looking for active members as well as sponsors for our curator account.
The next big step will be to set up our own Witness Server. Unfortunately, many of those with whom I have come into conversation do not really feel represented by their "witnesses".
I still think that the elected Witnesses are to some extent accountable to the Steem Community. They are, so to speak, the elected representatives of the Steem people and also have to take care of their concerns. Of course I am aware that we can only be a small gear in the large clockwork that is the Steem universe. In any case, we will do our best. Here, too, I am currently negotiating with sponsors who will cover the server costs incurred. If I can't find one, I'll pay for it myself.
Fact is: It won't be the last thing you'll hear from GSB as well as me. :-)

Great article @greece-lover, at this point I would like to thank you for the chance you gave me when you took over a sponsorship for my new Steemit membership.
What has become of it one sees yes I may with many like-minded you and our silent programming genius @tyramisoux show that it goes also differently.
You have every right to be proud of what you've achieved.
It is a lot of fun (with very few exceptions) to see how the delicate little plant grows more and more and yet is now gaining considerable influence.
But I would also like to say thank you to all our comrades-in-arms (the loud and the quiet ones) that I can't call all here personally because they have become much more, I hope you forgive me, thank you very much for the warm welcome ;) and your support.
I am happy to have made the decision to play an active role there, even if it was clear from the outset that this would be an uncomfortable and stony path, it is for the entire German community here on Steemit and not only for them, many of us also speak other languages and are therefore still active elsewhere.
I wish you and our small community many more new comrades-in-arms and that the things that are not so beautiful on Steemit can be influenced for the better to become a little fairer again to the original thought behind it, and to give many disappointed members the faith in the system again.
