Something from my bar whenever I feel like it episode CDLXXXI

in #blog7 years ago

Been quite awhile since I did cars on a 2 for Tuesday episode. Not the 2 car this time but 2 number 5 cars. These cars are both from the 2007 season. Both driven by Kyle Busch. Heck both look identical in the same light. The only reason I know they aren't identical is the codes in the rear window. Many of the cars star with CU which may be the company. The next to digits 07 are the year the next 2 X5 are the car number X is not used and 5 for 5. Now my memory gets a little fuzzy on these numbers so not sure what the 21 means. the KL is the drivers initials but since KB was already taken by Kurt Busch they used KL for Kyle Busch Now the rest of that middle series of numbers has to deal with the race and track. In this case you can see a lot of X in those on the but they are different. This means at least the one with all the X was not from any particular race. The other one would have either been from a race or special event. Unfortunately they are blocked by the bar in the window so I can't read them all to try to figure it out. If your wondering the last set of digits are the individual car numbers. They quit hand numbering the cars years ago and went to putting the numbers in the codes on the car. Some still do include it on the certificate as well. Now if your wondering why I have 2 of these it's simple: My Mom likes Tony the Tiger so she bought 2. Well actually more than 2 but the others are different paint jobs.
