GALAXY AUTO - Galaxy S9+

Had some fun shooting this back in August - finally got around to editing the footage. Well the truth is I've been unable to get the footage to run on anything other than my freaking phone. No matter what I did I couldn't get any of the files to play. No audio - no video. Nothing. I must have tried 50 different settings in Adobe media encoder....

Finally right when I was about to give up - something clicked and I was finally able to work with the footage. I shit you not I did a happy dance for a good 5 minutes....

I still love this combo. Sadly 2 years on in still unable to get filmic pro to work properly on this version of the phone along with the Zhiyun camera app. So I'm stuck using the native camera / basic gimbal features.

All is well though I've found a way to make it work. This was shot on the Samsung Galaxy S9+ along with the Zhiyun Smooth 4 smart phone gimbal. It was filmed in 4k 60fps - edited in Adobe premiere pro 2020 in a 4k 24p timeline. The audio is something I found on artlist.

Nobody decided to take me up on my NOT ABOUT THE GEAR cinematic smartphone video contest.... guess 50 STEEM doesn't get people going the way it used to...... Oh well - I'll hang on to it for a while - as I try to come up with a way of making the contest more appealing.

    Oooh beautiful cars and fun shots, love the motion you got in these. That gimbal seems to have given you really good results here, the footage is very smooth.

    Thanks for giving it a watch. One of my favorite parts of shooting car shows is all the wonderful colors. The gimbal makes a world of difference. I'll be posting more footage from the phone / gimbal combo soon.

        The colours sure pop here! Never getting a navy blue again for a car!
        Where was this scrumptious display? I must go there next August to pick me up a polisher. How do they do it? To get their bonnets come up that glossy! Or is that a Galaxy/Zhiyun/gimbal trick?
