Lessons From Some of the More Ridiculous CPS Interventions

The scope of what quantifies child Neglect continues to broaden with each passing day as the system seeks to firm the grip it has on families.

While this has not occured without controversy, the child welfare system continues to fall victim to unqualified, compulsive participants who appear determined to see families seperated.

I'll give you three of the More Ridiculous cases I have come across that perhaps covers some of the major underlying issues of CPS interventions.

First is the case of Alex McDaniel, a young mother who had to go through the scare of losing her son over a joke on twitter.

A day or so before the anonymous caller contacted authorities, I tweeted a funny conversation I had with him about using the potty, followed by an equally-as-funny offer to my followers: 3-year-old for sale. $12 or best offer.”

I am yet to come across anyone that didn't recognise that for the obvious joke it is, except the very uptight anonymous caller who took the words quite literally and called CPS. Luckily the case was dismissed about a month after the incident, but not without leaving obvious scars.

The First story addresses those really nosy individuals who destroy the lives of others out of 'concern'. Both Mandatory and non mandatory reporters have to be cautioned for exposing innocent parents.

The second is the popular meitiv case where CPS took the 10 year old boy and 6 year old daughter of the Meitivs for allowing them walk home by themselves (the horror).
Luckily this particular case did inspire a silent revolution as 'free range parenting' is fast becoming a thing.

This highlighted the enormous Powers and tendency to abuse that CPS has more than anything as the kids were illegally taken at school, without a substantial claim of abuse or neglect but from mere perception. Mere perception put those kids and their parents in trauma.

Finally, the case of the Leonards who had their six kids taken away because they lived in a makeshift apartment (storage facility), despite being loving parents all on the basis of being poor and vilulnerable shows how CPS targets the most vulnerable in society who have little means or wherewithal to fight back.

Luckily for all families stated above, they all got justice. However, the growing trend of far fetched allegations don't just call for caution, but a quick intervention.

Thank-you SO MUCH for helping Maya and her daughter, Victoria.

Happy to help this very important cause.

This is becoming the norm for them to act as though they have supreme right over EVERY aspect of our lives. People better wake up and quick. I just finished reading another post on here about a school that took large patches of children's hair for drug testing. They are out of control with their compulsion to control our every move. They have almost outlawed families the way they act.

I read that too, it has passed ridiculous at this stage
