Be careful onboarding people with only the promise of monetary rewards, without integrating them into your community -- those who only see monetary value in you will build a relationship on mutual exploitation.
If financial safety is the only thing your community provides in their eyes, they will run as soon as they no longer feel safe.

FOMO's driving force is fear, it's right there in the first letter of the acronym. By driving up Hype we raise the tension and exacerbate the potential effects of panic.
How do we counteract fear in our community?
Reach out. Be honest in your interactions. Build a personal connection on the basis of common interests -- even a lot of tiny, tenuous connections strengthen the overall web.
Confidence and trust in STEEM is not in building Hype -- it's in the knowledge of the system's capabilities and its communities.
Pro Tips:
- Check on #utopian-io for new or underappreciated community projects -- did you know we now have multi-tag search and a poll dapp?! Don't miss out on adding new tools to your arsenal.
- Try to stay on top of what the witnesses are doing for STEEM with @witnesspage -- witnesses engage with the community on more than just a technical level.
- Read more about the role of TRUST in crypto and the role of FEAR in our general behaviour.
- Seek out and comment on articles by other STEEMians -- keep them motivated. Motivate other people and you will strengthen your own motivation.
It's OK to start small. Start with one of those things and grow, little by little.

Ah, with my RC's finally back I can say thank you. At first, I wasn't sure what to think of your invite to comment, so you can probably imagine my surprise at your active response.
I dabble in the cryptosphere, but I spend more time looking at news and events in the traditional markets --that perspective helps a bit in the long-term, but I'm not on top of the hottest crypto developments, unfortunately.
