Up until now the Chrome extensions I have been covering had more of a business or professional use. The one I am going to cover today, while still valuable, will benefit you more on a personal level.
Imagine this scenario: You are enjoying a nice evening at home, shopping online. You find the exact items you want and you put them in your cart. As you are getting ready to check out you notice that you might have gone a little crazy.
You look at your total and gasp, then you see the "enter promotional code" box. If only you had a code to save you even 5% on your order, that would be great! You spend the next 15 minutes Googling and scouring the Internet to find the code you need, only to come up empty-handed.
Well I have your answer
The extension I am going to be reviewing today is called Honey. You can find it by going to the Chrome Web Store and typing "honey" in the search box.
This is what the extension looks like. There are a couple that show up, so make sure you install the right one.
Once you have the extension installed you are good to go. It may ask you to sign in, but you don't have to. There are some premium features you get if you sign up for a Honey account, but again, it isn't necessary.
Now for the magic
Honey is an extension that goes out and scours the Internet for possible coupon codes when it notices you are on an e-commerce site. Sometimes it finds multiple codes, sometimes it finds none. Sometimes it does find a code, but the code is no longer valid or is expired.
All you need to do when you are shopping is get to the checkout screen and then click the honey icon in the extensions area of Chrome. If it was able to find codes it will give you the choice of which one or ones you want to apply. It is that easy!
