Pi Network?

So as some of you already know, I've recommended joining in on this new and promising project that just rolled out from Pi’s core team which is led by two #Stanford PhD's and one Stanford MBA, all of whom helped build Stanford’s blockchain community.
If you want to read the more thorough review you can do so here.

As of now, it is still very early and the mining rate is still at 1.6 Pi per hour,
mining for a couple of weeks now I can verify it's only simulated mining,
which doesn't drain the CPU or battery of your phone, the theory behind it is very interesting and basically - it's a social blockchain with social mining, and the distribution of it is giving a great fair chance for everyone to get a slice of the Pi 😉.

You must use an invite code to join in (social, isn't it?) and you are very welcome to use mine (isdev).

So what's up with Google Play Store?

Right now, the IOS app works great, and the Android app functions as it should, but due to #google thinking that this app is using an actual mining like bitcoin does, they banned the app from the playstore, and well.. it doesn't, and the Pi core team have appealed to have it reviewed and returned to the playstore for new users to download.
In the meantime, new Android users can download the Pi Network Lite‏ app from the Google Play Store, which is using the exact same backend and is pretty much the same as the original Pi Network App, giving the same results.

All in all, let's hope for a quick resolve of this issue and for the future success of this inspiring project,
as it surely has some great potential.

Why am I so excited about it?

1. The model of distribution is brilliant, the theory behind this coin is amazing imo and I'm hopeful about its long-term success.

2. Only 1,378,369 PI exist, and you can mine about 19(!!)Pi per day right now, that is a lot of shares (just imagine mining bitcoin when it was this cheap and easy)

3. It pays even better with social proof and everyone must use an Invitation Code to Join Pi Network so when your peer joins - both of you get a 25% mining boost.

4. We are at 80% to the first halving, there couldn't be any better time to join in.
