When talking about technology and how it’s been transforming our world, we tend to think first of how it is making our lives easier and more comfortable through things like home appliances, daily app reminders, online shopping, online business and so on. What we often tend to forget to mention is that technology also contributes massively to our health. So, what is the point to strive so hard to earn money through technology, if you will end up spending them on healthcare services? Wouldn't it be better to spend your money on preventing disease, rather than on expensive medical services after your health has already been compromised?

Genomic medicine is defined as “an emerging medical discipline that involves using genomic information about an individual as part of their clinical care (e.g., for diagnostic or therapeutic decision-making) and the health outcomes and policy implications of that clinical use." Genomics is already making an impact in the area of oncology, pharmacology, undiagnosed diseases and infectious diseases. Therefore, genomics as a technology combined with the blockchain could significantly improve the whole healthcare sector across the globe. With the help of these two revolutionary technologies, Shivom platform offers patients and donors the possibility to have their DNA safely stored in a system. Thanks tothis unique ecosystem, different clinics, researchers, governments, pharmaceutical industries will be able to provide personalized medicine services.

Why is Shivom a good choice?
Donors rewarding: The data donors will own their data and access rights and get rewarded when they sell rights directly to third parties institutions (like clinics, pharmaceutical companies)
Drug and treatment development: Companies will be able to use Shivom to improve drug development. Moreover, researchers and clinicians can use DNA data to figure out which patients are more likely to be unresponsive to a specific treatment. This makes the whole treatment process more efficient and quick.
Personalized medicine: Patients will get customized health, well-being and lifestyle information for their particular condition

Shivom Step-by-Step
• First of all, you need to sign up for Shivom platform.
• Then, you will get a kit in the mail, or you can choose to upload your DNA sequence.
• Once your saliva is collected, you get to learn about your ancestry and receive personal health insights from your genetic data.
• Finally, you can choose whether you want to donate your genome to researchers or sell it.

Based on the whitepaper information of this project, we learn that the costs of DNA sequencing have dramatically declined, which means that genome sequencing companies will start to compete soon. By the end of the decade, it is expected that a person will be able to have their entire genome generated for less than $100.

Regarding the key element that enables buying and trading, Shivom has a total supply of 3 billion OmiX tokens. These will be distributed towards the token sale, community, founders, advisors, growth pool and a part of them will be reserved for the future. You can earn tokens during the sale, from secondary markets, and from rewards collection.
The date for Shivom ICO has not yet been announced; however, if you are interested in participating, you can fill out a form in the private sale section of their website at https://shivom.io/.

Shivom is powering the next era of genomics through blockchain technology – by protecting identity, personalizing healthcare, transforming lives. Our blockchain based genomics and healthcare platform will allow the transition to value-based precision healthcare. Our focus is on the transformational convergence of OMICS technologies with blockchain, artificial intelligence and machine learning to enable secure and personalized medicine with global scalability.

This is an amazing invention in blockchain platform which look after your health and track your records of health and provide health facilities.
@hivom is creating a genomics ecosystem on the blockchain. This will offer an open marketplace for healthcare providers to add their apps and services, alongside genomic data analytics and personalized medicine.
Accurate, comprehensive interpretation of your genome will only be possible when the biomedical community has analyzed enough genome sequences representing the full range of natural human variation. However, today, many ethnic and geographical populations are still underrepresented in public databases..

This will make a great impact on the monopoly market where companies are earning million without sharing with data donor..This will bring a great opportunity for the people to earn by sharing their health data which will be kept high privacy...
Thanks for sharing great inmovation @danizaharie

absolutely you bring up some great information here as to how this technology could help improve upon so many sectors, especially the health care focus from a preventative measure.

Unfortunately, everything we do here seems to be market based and often times hinders or evens delays the process of implementing effective prevention strategies. We have always seemed to start downstream at a tertiary level as compared to a primary focus... I hope we are able to shift this current, so we can begin to incorporate innovative precision medicine protocols in tandem with blockchain technology to help so many people.

Obviously this would be extremely profitable because patient confidentiality is always of heightened concern, so I can see why Shivom has the potential to be a game changer in this field... Thanks for sharing, a lot to gather from your article

Steem on !

I looked into Shivom about a month ago and liked the concept. I am talking medically. The basis of the idea is pretty solid as you stated in the article. Genomics analysis provides a tremendous amount of previously hidden information about a patient.
What I am worried about is that although current medical education takes this into account but the fact still is that even modern medical protocols are ambiguous about use of genomics data for treatment. The future for this kind of project could be beyond great but I am concerned about short term viability (2-5 years).
Anyways I am still getting those tokens :-)
Thanks for this informative and great post.

People should take care of their own health and eat good food. And do not use medicine !!!
