A leader of an online church in Denver, Colorado, is accused of defrauding his followers of $1.3 million through a cryptocurrency scheme.

Eli Regalado and his wife marketed their cryptocurrency, INDXcoin, to Christian communities, claiming that God had instructed them to do so.

They allegedly raised $3.2 million from over 300 people, with a significant portion being used for personal expenses, including luxury items and vacations.

Regalado admitted to the charges in a video statement but claimed that they were following God's guidance and hoped for a financial miracle.
