Seems that way. It does appear that some blacklists provide an opportunity to present your case.

Like I mentioned I would recommend approaching that situation with humility. I also wonder how the cross-cultural side of things impacts our ability to resolve problems. Different cultures value different style of conflict resolution. So it seems that unwittingly someone could​ upset another member of our community without fully understanding what happened.
