Bitcoin payment service, Bitwala has announced that it has added Steem, the cryptocurrency that powers the social media platform Steemit, to the list of accepted altcoins and cryptocurrencies.
According to the official blog post, Bitwala users can now use Steem to pay for international bank transfers and use it to top-up their Bitwala debit card. One of the key features of Steem is that Bitwala users can change their Steem into Steem power and use that power to vote on posts they like.

This is some of the best news Steem could have heard. The true coming out party of a crypto is for people to be able to use it without having to translate it to fiat. The following sentence sounds a little confusing: "One of the key features of Steem is that Bitwala users can change their Steem into Steem power and use that power to vote on posts they like." That's true for every steemit user, and is not really something unique to Bitwala. Just to clarify.
