You have made your first Steem or Steem Dollars and would like to transfer and trade these coins into other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. For this you will need to open an account on either Bittrex or Poloniex.

In the following I will show you step by step how to open an account on Bittrex or Poloniex.

Navigate to Bittrex: https://www.bittrex.com/

Sign up with your email and choose a password. Once you ticked Terms of Service and filled in the reCAPTCHA you can click on the SIGN UP button.

A text will inform you about the registration email sent to your email account.

In the email click on the registration link.

You will be notified about your successful verification. You can click on the Login button.

Enter your email and password and tick the reCAPTCHA tick box. Once completed you can click on the LOGIN button.

You are now in Bittrex.

The Sign up to Poloniex is very similar. Navigate to https://www.poloniex.com/. Click on Create your account button.

Additionally, to your email address Poloniex asks for your name and country of residence. Once filled plus the reCAPTCHA and agreed to the Terms of Use you can click Create Account button. Then the steps are the same as for Bittrex. You will receive a registration email with a confirmation link.
