Virtualgrowth on BeyondBitcoinHangout with OpenLedger's Apptrade seeking help with bitshares #steemgigs

in #bitshares7 years ago (edited)

Looking to get bitshares documentation updated and possibly find developers for OpenLedger's Apptrade.

Apptrade is seeking to update the Bitshares documentation and seeking Graphene developers who have experience with Node.JS as well as full-stack developers who have experience with React.

Update Bitshares Documentation by providing a fund for a worker proposal through a one-to-one match (by OpenLedger's AppTrade. Therefore, the worker proposal will cover half of the cost.

Vote on @virtualgrowth's RSVP comment for Beyond Bitcoin Hangout #218 along with other great projects hosted by @fuzzy.

Our main questions are the following:

  • Who is available to update the bitshares documentation?
  • When can this be done?
  • How long might this take?
  • What is the estimated cost?
  • Who will lead the worker proposal?
  • How to vet the worker to lead the documentation effort?
  • Apptrade is seeking to learn more about Cryptonomex and Bitsapphire
  • What is your experience with them?
  • Why did you choose to work with them?
  • Do you know someone in that team to get in contact with?

Finder’s fee for helping @VirtualGrowth find graphene developers who may be contacted though Discord or Steemit.chat. If you are interested to be a dedicated graphene developer, again contact @VirtualGrowth.

I would like to help/support to update BitShares documentation if someone has the best idea for it.

That would be great @tsugimoto. Would love to chat further sometime as I help coordinate a group of people to help us get this done.

Hi @virtualgrowth, Please use me. You can check my old post (https://steemit.com/help/@tsugimoto/bitshare-2-0-graphene-technical-documentation-sitemap). I really would love to help. You can ask @officialfuzzy about me. He is my friend.

This looks great! Just what we need, so will be sure to use you and reach out to Fuzzy too!

Updated API docs would be great, such as providing an example usage and output (so users don't need to perform trial & error to establish correct input data).

Additional websocket examples would be cool too.

Edit: Some in depth descriptions of MPA settings would be valuable, currently they're merely defined where as their min/max/suggested values aren't defined.

Thank you very much for your input @cm-steem which is valuable and appreciated!

Perhaps also providing UI customization docs would be a good idea? I previously created a simple guide which could be included in the wiki's and improved upon: https://steemit.com/bitshares/@cm-steem/bitshares-ui-customization-guide

Great idea! Will look to include some of your great work for sure. :)

Two levels of documentation would be helpful. On the one hand, you want step-by-step worked examples illustrating how core pieces of functionality work (E.g. DEX, Voting, Permissions etc) for people with no prior knowledge and a second MSDN-esque technical level for those who want to develop / manipulate the platform and already have pre-existing technical experience.

Agreed @testlump, good idea. Will think about your idea as we explore how we may best go about all of this with the resources we find.

great post..thanks for sharing..
