Supload VS Steemit Payouts
If you have not heard it yet, there's an image hosting service called Supload, where you get free Bitcoin. Revenues from ads on the site are split with the users and Supload, each taking 50%. When you reach $1 you can withdraw your funds to a Bitcoin wallet. Check out this post by @tommycordero with an easy introduction to the site.
You may be wondering exactly how much Bitcoin will you gain from Supload. In reality, it's not that much. On average you will get 1 cent for about 100 views per image. To make a decent profit one would have to upload thousands of images. Compared to the crypto that is being given here on Steemit, Supload payouts are considerably less.
Nevertheless, it's a great service. It's easy to use, it's free, you get tipped to use it and is a wonderful image hosting alternative.
The platform is still developing and has a long way to go before it could become much more user friendly and social. There's a tag system that is still not working, there is no censorship, so there are lot's of adult and pornographic content. There's a filter for NSFW content, but most uploads are not being tagged as adult content right now. Will Supload win or fail is unclear for now, but it's nice to see projects using Bitcoin to attract people.

It is fairly easy to use,I posted my first picture :)
thank you
I've been using this. It's a bit sketchy at times. I have problems setting certain images to private. I have to set it, wait exactly eight seconds, shut the tab off, reload, then the setting sticks. I've turned it into an art form.
I have felt this way too just because I have seen sites like this come and go. The developer is on reddit or has a Twitter or both, so hopefully won't be running off with peoples Bitcoin.
I had a few problems. My images vanished from my "dashboard". I emailed their help line. I got a response with an explanation. That's a good sign.
I have had an account since seeing @the-bitcoin-dood mention it before, love the site https://www.supload.com/u/cryptocollectibles Every Steemit user should have images uploaded on Supload honestly, because why not.
Agree!
It looks like a good idea but remember to never trust 3rd party platforms for your content delivery. I prefer to host images on my own websites.
It's right way to make you feel safer, using your own host but not all people have own host. So they publish their picture using third party. Could you give suggestion ? Nice
Thanks for the mention!
You might want to check out the updated version where the formatting to get BTC Supload links to work (and cash out on images posted) on Steemit is revealed.
And yeah, I think you got it about right when it comes to payment.
Thanks for letting us know.
In your opinion, with this service last? I mean, will our uploaded images, and links to them, vanish or remain? :)
I can only speculate. I think it's worth a try.
It will last if it's well managed. Time will tell.
TNX. I di try it out. The images in this post are hosted on supload.
