Today is the day to pick up some PIEcoin

I want all the crypto PIE

Every morning after I get settled in at work, I like to pop over to CoinMarketCap and take a look at what the cryptos are looking like for the day and see if I'm going to make any serious moves. I've been following the hype train on PIEcoin for a week or so because I've seen some chatter regarding this stuff - plus it's a fairly cheap, interesting "new" Proof of Stake coin, which, if you're one of the unwashed masses who may not yet be hip to this shit, means that you can earn more coin by holding it in a desktop wallet. Similar to mining but different, to put it simply.

Take a look at this infographic from CoinMarketCap and tell me if you think this is hitting its bottom, finding support and getting ready to make moves or if it will continue to dip?

PIE is still way above its value from back in July so who knows if will continue to stay here or drop back down to its original support, but either way - it's an interesting technology. According to its chart on cryptopia, the moving average makes me think PIE may drop a little further but I'm no expert and I'm often wrong, so, you know, do what you think.

I'll probably drop $20 into PIE at this level and if it dips any further - another $20 at that point as well until I have all the PIE, wouldn't mind having myself a master node, my own self.

Sort:

We can totally build a masternode! Just setting up a higher-end Linux machine for the semester. We really should hang out and compare notes!

I'd want to wait and watch to see if the price falls before buying that much. I'm currently staking a couple thousand. I get a pay out in 3 days - now I understand why people are pumping this coin. The turn around time to get a staking reward is much lower than with something like Stratis(close to 7000 days, granted I've only got like 4 Stratis tokens, I'm sure I'd have better return if I had more tokens) or Bitbean(69 days).
As far as Staking PIEcoin goes - it's cheap, has a quick return on staking and it's oriented towards being used as a currency. I hope no one buys it because it's still so affordable, so yeah we should build a master node. We could also just rent a VPS and save on electricity...

I picked up 2000 pieces myself....

Nice, PoS coins are what's up

I like your idea of putting money in and than if it goes down more putting more in. This is a strategy I often use the first couple weeks after investing in a new coin. If I have enough faith in the coin to invest to begin with and it drops, unless the drop is driven by some horrible news or something, I invest a bit more for the run I believe to be ahead. I think too many people who are now getting into crypto want the "next bitcoin" and don't look at the long term investment. A frequent philosophy when investing is... nothing is a profit or loss until you sell. Thanks for providing Steemit with thoughtful content!

I like that quote and it's definitely accurate - I hate to think about how many coins I bought WAY TOO HIGH when I first got into trading...

My 7$ Eth are all gone.....

I don't get it? 7 ETH or $7 in ETH?

I bought all my ETH at 7 bucks, sold them around 400 bucks.

Looked like a pump and dump at one point but I've got to do my research. I'm also no expert.

Yeah, it did and maybe it is but it's not ridiculously over-valued right now, ideally, it will dip lower so it becomes less of a risk. If you're staking the coins, the more you stack the quicker your reward comes which is definitely better than PoW mining...

The irony of this is that after doing my research, I'm going to be going into this coin haha

Very interesting I will look into this but as with anything time will only tell the outcome
Thank you for the insight

I don't know man, I'ts going way down very fast, happens to a lot of coins, but it's like very very cheap, so maybe worth a shot?

Did you buy some? BTW nice posts

I'm still watching, trying to find it's bottom... but I will be throwing some dollars that way. I'm also staking bitbean - it's super cheap and each staking reaward pays out 1000 bitbean.

Wow, wait, in how much time does it pay off the 1000? Montly basis? Is it scaleable?

PoS coins are so fun sometimes. I remember sprout coin, hehe.

It pays when a block is solved, which depends on how much Bitbean you're staking, unless you're holding like 500,000 bitbean, the payout appears to be fairly random. At any rate, it's a cheaper investment than any cloud/rig mining. Less energy, too.

Yeah sure, thanks alot for the info. I like the main concept that the money just stays there and keeps profiting 1%

Could be a very nice earning if you invest nice money into it. The minimum is 25.000 Bitbeans to start staking.

Thanks for the info on the minimum staking amount - 25 Bitbean basically costs you nothing...

Thanks for.the information !
I will check it out asap.
👍👍

How do I get piecoins? By cooking some pies? :D ( yeah I know it's a stupid joke)

Yeah, just throw some fiat currency in the oven with some fruit and, voila, PIEcoin.

But for real, I use Cryptopia Exchange to buy PIEcoins because I happened to have an account there AND they happened to have PIE available, however, C-Cex and Yobit have them as well. Sign up for Cryptopia with my affiliate link and I'll throw you a couple SBD.

I'm like cryptobeginner so I'm still earning my first cents, thanks for suggestion :) I'll try later, when I'll be back from my trip and have usual laptop ;)
