Protect your wives.. and your coins!
Everybody is on the bitcoin train and it is great to see that, I mean look at the damn trend! 
But nobody talks about the security of your coin. Now, I am not talking about the security of the technology behind blockchain or mining or SHA2, but the fact that the coin is most likely held by you or a trusted party that is not really a financial institution. Take an example and I am going to use bittrex for my hypothetical example not because I think its bad or vulnerable. If you use bittrex to exchange coins and you store your coins there. Is bittrex insured by any entity upto $250k? Does bittrex have to go through auditing and regulation checks just like BofA, Chase, ICICI, Fidelity or any brokerage firm? You are blinding putting faith in these online companies to hold massive amounts of potential fiat, which you may have earned through hard work and it could potentially be hacked and stolen one night when you are sleeping and you WONT be able to do anything about it. With the recent hacks coming to light, this is going to become a bigger and bigger problem. I have nothing against BTC or any other cryptos out there, but do your due diligence and research and keep your coins safe after you purchase them through a legit and credible exchange.
