I have long held most coins on paper wallets, I will be returning.

I only switched from a paper wallet to the Nano S to split my old BTC... and sell off everything but the BTC. And foolishly (more likely laziness), I left them there. Well wakey wakey... I plugged in the Nano S to add maybe some Digibyte instead of leaving all of it in my desktop wallet/node and it will not connect to the chrome extension wallet. Nada, Zip, Nothing, I guess the crypto lessons continue.

I of course tried changing USB ports (although I successfully used that one several times before), I tried updating my Windows (which I hate to do as there is always a surprise you need to battle) and I updated all my ports. Then I get customer support writing back saying:

Thanks for reaching Ledger Support.
We are experiencing issues with Windows 7 (USB drivers do not recognize the Nano S).
Please make sure your Windows 7 OS is properly updated with this update.
Then on Windows

1. Open device Manager (in control Panel).
2. Find the USB with a yellow warning sign and right click select "Update driver".
3. After the driver is updated, you can close and open Chrome browser, open Ledger Manager, connect your device and just wait.
   If you cannot find any drivers to update, please follow this tutorial.

They also suggested filming myself connecting to another computer and OS as well as changing connection cable as sometimes they go on the fritz as well. My god there is no end to the trials and tribulations of the crypto holder and why in my opinion, we have not gained mass adoption, everything is a new challenge.

Anyway, as I know there are many brilliant folks in Steemit land...

Any suggestions out there folks?
