I seen a statment by a well known crypto blogger recently :
'Bitcoin transactions might be expensive, yet real world events demonstrate that we need a digital store of value.'
Indeed we do. If you're unfortunate to live in the likes of Zimbabwe, or Venezuela, cryptos represent the most effective and secure way to hold onto your savings.
This is the reason why we read headlines about bitcoin being sold in these countries for a huge premium over the market values.

I noticed that a lot of the hispanic community here are from venezuela. Not surprising considering the current state of the country's economical position.
