Yesterday, crypto community got news about the possibility of double-spend attack on Tether. The results of the transaction research easily swept over all the news sources, and this was a very chockfull for the USDT team. Tendencies to fear for the coins are already strong, and in case of Tether’s failure, USDT could lose its market.

Tether quickly reacted to the news reporters, calling them ““journalist” lemmings”. They argue that the unproven “double-spend” fact was a simply market operation, nothing more. Kraken exchange supported the Tether, and also added:

News inexplicably fails to comprehend basic market concepts such as arbitrage, order books and currency pegs.

, hinting that the whole complexity of the argument lies in the misunderstanding of market transactions. At the moment, another important argument for "market manipulation" is becoming “cheating signals”, as a repeating numbers and so. Cheating signals (13,076.389) may be noticed by software (by unique size), so it can be traded against that.

At first sight, a strange boycott campaign was organized against HitBTC exchange. The leader and protagonist of the protest is John McAfee himself; to disclose his view on HitBTC and connected discussion, read twitter. What could motivate him to this decision, and is this far from the truth?

“@hitbtc I will be your worst enemy until you prove that you are aligned with our community and are truly interested in helping the poor. You have not done shit to help access the only free healthcare in the world.”

At the moment, what could hurt the users is a long wait for the service, answers, etc. But, here the speaker also points out inaction in relation to social problems, and so on. It's very strange that the discussion turned in such a direction.

In fact, the cryptocurrency industry is attentive to individuals, but also more oriented on general sentiments and opinions. There are fan-boys who are ready to support the leader, team or developer indisputably, but sometimes the community is indifferent. However, we can also consider this with an unbiased attitude.

Bithumb opens what currencies were stolen during hacking attack (source)

The recent attack on Bithumb became one of the most discussed news of the month. However, it was not clarified which cryptocurrencies were affected by the attack.
