Bitcoin Price Forecast 8/17/2017
That's right folks, Bitcoin has done it again! Current MC: $141.9B (+$0.2B) BTC dominance exactly 50%.
We have set a new record again, just as predicted in yesterday's forecast, setting the new bar at $4,492 USD! Unbelievable prices right now you guys so watch for profit taking whales making big waves in the markets. Support has slowly been moving up and is holding BTC around $4000-4150 as buy volumes just won't let up. Previous support lies around the $3850 zone so anything is possible if the right people decide to dump on the markets. I still believe we are headed to $5K or higher especially considering how hot Bitcoin has been running the past 17 days.
In today's chart you will see that we hit that record high and then quickly dropped back to $4152 only to have some support step in. A lot of the new comers to the crypto scene are just learning the prices and think that $4K is cheap considering some of the estimates that analysts are throwing out there. McAffee says $500,000 in two and a half years, others say $100,000. Who knows what the price will be in three years? It most certainly will be higher as we can all agree :) In the mean time let's set our eyes on that $5K target.
Likely Scenarios:
- BTC bounces between $4150 and $4450 zone today with lots of volatility
- BTC builds up some steam and holds above its moving average around $4350
- Volumes build later and we see BTC blow past its record AGAIN hitting $4550+ today
TLDR Version:
The bulls have scared away all of the bears yet again as the market proves why Bitcoin is the king of the cryptos. It has the first mover's advantage and most likely always will. Expect us to keep marching forward on this path to $5K taking only one or two stops on the way to breathe.

Eventually but maybe not this week. In a month maybe- especially with all the drama with BCH unfolding today.
only reason btc is up cuz N Korea is using btc to buy from black market nd gettin ready for WAR.
Geo-political tensions always increase the price of Bitcoin. Look at Brexit! If something nuclear were to happen Bitcoin would hit 10K!
never been to guam, never planned on it but if it makes my btc go to 10k they can blow that country to pieces for all i care!

I really enjoyed this post. Looking forward, yes a correction is inevitable but I'm convinced that the price of bitcoin will only continue to increase over time rebounding from wherever it stops dropping. I'm convinced that crypto-currency is the future of both money & commerce. THX & 7-3's!
