Bitcoin Price Forecast 8/16/2017

BITCOIN IS ON FIRE AGAIN! We are less than $100 away from all time highs right now and it looks like we are going to make a serious attempt at it today. The market cap has been pushing up all week which is a great sign too. Serious institutional investors are taking a look at this space finally and recreational investors are going all in because we know the potential. I remember getting excited when we hit $25B Market cap, when we were growing about $1B per day. Look at us now!!!
In today's chart you will see a MASSIVE spike where we jumped $200 in 30 minutes! Big red flag that the bulls are loose today. We should expect to bounce off of that moving average (red line in the middle of Bollinger Bands) as we move up. If my predictions are correct then we will break past $4500 today with little to no resistance. I'm 100% convinced that we will blow right past $5K this year because Bitcoin's hype cycle is just barely getting started.
Likely Scenarios:
- BTC holds between $4250 and $4350 until volumes pick back up
- BTC drops back down to $4150 and then pulls back to $4300 range
- BTC holds ABOVE $4300 and we bounce up to record highs above $4500 zone
TLDR Version:
Bitcoin is not going to slow down so keep holding on and get ready for a wild ride! Alt-coin markets may take a dip today as prices fluctuate to maintain balance with BTC. Prices should hold in the $4150-4350 zone until we break into new highs. Choose your investments wisely!

thank you hotsauceislethal, now it seems every small pull back is a good buying opportunity. I am more interested in altcoins lately, but bitcoin is a good publicity for the whole crypto market
What we should see happen is as Bitcoin slows down money will begin to flow into the alt-coin markets as investors begin to chase bigger gains. Almost like a trickle down effect from Bitcoin's market cap.

I suspect we will continue to pull back for a day or two, or trade sideways, then we should be cleared to continue, if I am reading the technicals correctly, but then again, no one really know what the market knows.... Good luck to all.
The fact that we haven't seen any major corrections shows me that we are ready to move up even higher first. I fully expect $5K BTC before we see a retracement down to the $3500 range.
