Arnhem City The Bitcoin Capital of The Netherlands

Yes, you've read it right. Arnhem, not Amsterdam. Arnhem City is well known as the Bitcoin Capital of The Netherlands and it has been featured in the bitcoin documentary this year. It also got the title World's Most Bitcoin Friendly City.

Arnhem stad is bekend als de bitcoin capital van Nederlands en dit kwam ook uit in een documentaire over bitcoin dit jaar. Niet alleen dat, Arnhem is ook bekend als Het Meest Bitcoin Vriendelijk Stad ter Wereld. Wauw.. toch?

I live in Arnhem, I know of it's title but I don't really know which places in the city center actually accepts bitcoin payment and so with my Steemit ad I went on search in the city center to find out whether bitcoin payments are really accepted. We checked out the Kleine Campus Cafe which was behind the toko store where I buy my supply of seaweed. Confirmed - they do accept bitcoin payments. We had a chicken wrap, a sandwich , a beer for hub and a fresh mint with ginger tea for me. Thanks for the free lunch Steemit! So if you feel like having lunch at the same time, you need a place that offers peace and quiet with a free wifi which accepts bitcoin payments. It's the place to be. It's not in the middle of the city center but it's a 10 minute walk to it. The best part - parking's free and the cafe owner allowed us to leave our car there while we scout for the rest.

Als je dus opzoek naar een rustige plek met gratis wi - fi dan is dit hem. Het is niet echt midden in de stad maar 10 minuten loop afstand vandaar. Het beste deel is - gratis parkeren. De cafe eigenaar - een mooie dame - liet ons onze auto daar even parkeren.

We finished our food and hurried to the city center to scout which other store we are a patron of accepts bitcoin payment. We headed for where the old V&D in Arnhem is. We found Rawsome first. It's an organic shop that caters to vegetarians, vegans and organic health buffs. I bought their homemade banana choc there and it's just finger licking good. The best part - it's organic and yes they accept bitcoin payments. They are not the only organic food shop that does this - there's actually two of them.

Zij hebben geen sticker die zei dat zij bitcoin accepteren dus Schat liep naar binnen om te vragen - dat doen ze wel. Zij zijn niet de enige biologische winkel die bitcoin accepteer - er is nog een andere.

We walked further and bumped into The Urban Cafe just at the other end of Belly Baby which caters both lunch and some days - dinner. Confirmed - you may pay bitcoin here. You can find it at the back of Dudok near the Eusebius church.

If you are in Europe and you would want to travel the Netherlands, wouldn't it be handy to just be able to stay in a hotel that accepts bitcoins for payment? Arnhem has three of them, one in the middle of a beautiful forest with a huge backyard that offers rest in your head. If you are on a tight budget, you wouldn't have to worry either because there are two bed and breakfast that accepts bitcoin payment.

If you feel like doing leisure related stuff - you might be happy to know that the Eusebius Church has opened its doors for the public to see what's inside that monument. So perhaps after eating in The Urban Cafe which is just behind it you might want to check its story out. Unfortunately, we didn't get to confirm and like Rawsome you wouldn't see the "bitcoin payment accepted here" sign on the door plus even though I'm a day walker so I can't really go into churches I'll go freak out - ok just kidding I'm 100 percent human vegetarian flesh. They were close so I struck a pose in the middle of the plane and people were gushing .. "Really? pays your blog?"

Dat is toevallig dichtbij The Urban Chef en dus mischien na het eten kan je wel daar langs gaan. Jammer dat zoals Rawsome heeft zijn deur ook geen sticker van bitcoin en ontdanks dat ik een day walker bent - durfde ik niet naar binnen te gaan - oke dit deel is een grap ... ik ben honderd procent mens - vegetarisch nog. Zij waren helaas al dicht dus ik ging aan de reclame muur poseren en mensen gingen zeggen; "Echt waar? Er is zon iets die je blog betaald?"

Wij liepen verder in de stad waar meest winkels om 17:00 uur al dicht zijn.

Fourteen clothes shop would cater to your shopping needs. You can buy a gala dress and have a suit tailored for you in Arnhem. How convenient right? Shop for bags, leather shoes and limited edition design shirts with your bitcoin. For those who love going to the carnivals, there's one that rents and sells costumes that accept bitcoin payments here, too. Three hair salon would cater for any hair care you might need and if you feel like getting a facial there's one of that, too. Then, perhaps after going around the tourists spots around Arnhem, yes we got plenty, you might feel like going for a massage and guess what - you can choose between two stores that accepts bitcoin payment, too.

I didn't get to see a bitcoin payment sign here but they are listed in as one of those shops that do and l do believe these are good finds and souvenirs if you happen to decide you feel like camping on this side of the earth or perhaps drop by a tourist spot somewhere around here and would want a memento to make you remember your stay in Arnhem.

Er is een scuba en een fietswinkel in Arnhem waar je ook al weer met bitcoin kan betalen. Je kan ook boodschappen doen en met bitcoin betalen in een markt dichtbij het centraal station. Kan je voorstellen dat deze winkels in een plek waren - dan wordt dat echt een bitcoin dorpje. Daar wil ik toch wel wonen. Maar, zij zijn overal te vinden in de stad - bij elke straat zit er een of soms twee .

This small, humble city in the East of the Netherlands have 1 fast food, 5 liquor shops, 12 bars, 16 restaurants and cafes that offer lunches and 19 of those offer dinner payable in bitcoins. And since it was dusk and we were tired going around we headed for one of those 19 restos and cafes that offer dinner. One of my favorite Asian resto in Arnhem - The Kohinoor of India. We ordered take out and while waiting for our food we chatted with the friendly guy who must be the manager about bitcoin. We chose to go there because it's the most accessible place to get dinner from being near the bus stop and the train station plus we know that they really have good food. We didn't only get to buy dinner with bitcoin from Steemit we also got an apple juice and a beer on the house. How generous right?

Omdat het was al avond en wij werden al moe van dit gedoe, gingen wij naar een van de 19 restos en cafes die diner bid waar je bitcoin kan betalen. Een van mijn favoriet Asiatische restaurant in Arnhem - The Kohinoor of India. Wij bestelden afhaal en terwijl wij voor ons eten wachten kletsen wij met de manager(denk ik) over bitcoin. Wij kiezen daar om te gaan want het is het makkelijkste restaurant te vinden want hij is niet alleen loop afstand van het bus halte maar ook van het centraal station en wij wisten het al dat hun eten daar echt lekker is. Wij krijgen niet alleen gratis diner van Steemit maar ook appelsap en bier van de huis. Wat gul! Bedankt!

So, does bitcoin have a future? It has a beautiful "NOW" in Arnhem and come to think of it the Netherlands just ranks 5th bitcoin friendly country in the world.
