I’m excited to announce I can finally earn bitcoin!
For those that don’t know I’m an osteopath in NZ. It’s been a dream of mine to one day accept crypto in exchange for my services for more than 2 years now.
That dream became a reality today.
As I have only been in practice for 4 months I waited patiently for the opportunity to ask the principal of the practice to accept bitcoin in the clinic. That moment came about a month ago. She had never heard of bitcoin, but saw the passion in my voice trying to explain this technology to her. Without hesitation she announced, SURE! I was shocked at how quickly she had gone from never hearing about bitcoin before to accepting it as a payment option in the clinic. It was seriously no longer than 5 minutes. She later commented, “this is more than just a payment system isn’t it?” Haha 😂
I immediately bought some stickers to put up in the clinic. They finally came in the mail from Serbia of all places. We are set up and ready to go!
To my knowledge we are the first primary health care provider in NZ to accept bitcoin.
The only problem now is Bitcoin is not the only crypto that ‘Mangawhai Osteopathy’ accepts..............................................................“Steem accepted here” stickers anyone?
