Back in October, I decided to change some SBD for BTC and then the DDOS attack came and that cause some delay. I made a mistake of waiting till I decided to move to other coins and started looking which to use and decided to try Coinbase but didn't expect the setup to take that long. Once you have it, it's fairly straightforward.

Take note of the address which you need to use to tell Blocktrades where to change the BTC to.

Go to Blocktrades and tell how much SBD (or Steem if you prefer) to change to what other coin (which is BTC in my case here) and how much. Here, you tell Blocktrades where you want your BTC to be sent to sent to. Then, click on [Get Deposit Address]. My mistake was I didn't register for an account with Blocktrades. Fortunately, this time and another time, things went smoothly. Subsequently, I remembered and registered before doing any of this.

Take note of the memo you need to specify in steemit to identify the SBD (or steem) you want to transfer to Blocktrades to exchange to BTC.

Go to your steemit wallet to start the transfer. Click the amount for STEEM DOLLARS (or STEEM) and select [Transfer]

Transfer the amount of SBD (or Steem) to @blocktrades (make sure you get that right) entering the memo (make sure you get that right too) given by Blocktrades before.

Once you are done with the Active or Owner key or Master password, the transaction should reflect in the HISTORY. Now, we wait.

Go back to Blocktrades and check on the transaction. It will take a while

Back to Coinbase after a while, you'll see the BTC pending. Be patient and wait a bit more.

Later, I followed the similar steps to change some SBD to ETH after sending to @blocktrades and it was a breeze. Simplicity rules.

因为还没换过。:-) 新币换LTC 就有。从银行户口到xfers.io再转移coinbase来买LTC. 基本上从coinbase卖掉拿SGD也是经xfers.io

I dont understand why choosing the Coinbase for the whooping 1.5% fee.
Go with something that I thought works well with most people.

another thing. the professor who was teaching me and said try to get some ETH was using coinbase.
I use Quoine. When it comes to choosing an exchange, I consider 2 things in the order of : Reliability, and fee. I don't see Coinbase being far too superior over others in the reliability while the fee is just too high.

The fees for BTC is quite high now due to the high BTC network transactions. Have a look at these including the comments:

Why should I use coinbase, the site has high transaction fees, the courses are terrible and it has often issues like you figured out and at least they are collecting all of your data. But thanks for your efforts.
I use because I found it convenience which I guess come with a price.

Yes there other posibbilitys they are also easy to use. I also used coinbase but Iam really unhapp with them its expensive and they have a bad service. You could use

I have to say I am not a big trader or anything, but the times I have used Coinbase, it has worked well for me.
The important thing to me to it has worked well but recent times have gave it some challenge.
I'm not big trader (yet) but I'm hoping the people who cry about the high fees here suggest a alternative to explore.
