Naked Ale serves as Fire Extinguisher!!

After watching all the racing as described in my post Air-Cooled VW Drag Racing, my wife was not in the mood to cook, so we decided to go and have a bite to eat at Joe Mexican our local Mexican restaurant. In anticipation of the HOT food, I ordered a nice Ice Cold Beer, to extinguish any burning of the mouth / throat with immediate effect!!

I decided to go for a craft beer, named Zwakala Ale.

Above and below you can see the bottle, this beer actually won a beer trophy, as stated on the bottle, and is brewed in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

Zwakala means come closer, and I did just that, I got up close and personal with this beer!! They say, this beer has caramel notes, which I did not get, but the crisp hoppiness was there, and I liked it. The beer came in a 340ml bottle and has 5% alcohol.

The beer pours with a nice fluffy white head.

The beer comes in its own branded glass, which I like, and it has a nice golden syrup type color!!

As I stated we actually went for something to eat, and the food arrived, fortunately it was not to hot to handle, and there was no need to extinguish any flames, non the less, I still finished the beer as a precaution, it would not be nice to be caught of guard with some burning going on!!
(As you can see the title of this post is a total lie!!)

The Mexican food was delicious, the beer was great, this was a very nice end to a great day!!

I hope you liked the photos as much as I did creating them.

All photos were taken by me with my iPhone at Joe Mexican Restaurant, Pretoria, South-Africa.

@rynow,
Haha I like that name and Alc %. It seems to be a remarkable experience! Great photography friend!

Cheers~

Hey great post! Craft beer is lots of fun! My father has a farm that he retired to in New York State and we found Hops that were growing from years ago so we nursed them back to health so we could grow and pick to make beer with together! I just signed my father up to steemit last month and he has a blog post about growing hops in there! his blog if you have time is @thebigsweed thanks have a great day! @ryan313

grateful!

That is very interesting, you must write a post of when you brew your own beer with your own homegrown hops!! I am also in the process to start to brew my own beer, I am still setting up but soon, I will try my first brew!!
I read your dad's post it is quite nice. We do have some hops growing in South Africa, but I believe it all belongs to the big brewery (SAB), I am not sure if seeds will be available, to also grow my own, which would be real nice.

Hi thanks for stopping by my dads blog @thebigsweed and also for your response! I will do that ... it is a good idea to do a blog post about beer making. My father is the details guy and I like to try all kinds of new things! He could probably do a nice post about BEER MAKING STEP 1 and then do following blogs with STEP 2,3,4..... Have great day

Thanks for your support..@ryan313
