#beersaturday Week 34 - Feeling Blue!
Golden (lager) greetings and silver (bullet) salutations! It's time to talk beer!

If you do not know Aldi's, they carry primarily private label products at low prices. I was at my girlfriend's house for dinner last night and she had picked up some Kinroo Blue for me. I had not heard of nor seen Kinroo Blue for sale outside of Aldi.
Kinroo Blue is a Belgian White that is actually brewed in Belgium. It is brewed by Brouwerij Martens, which appears to brew this as a private brand partnership. Want to learn a bit more about the brewery? Check out their website here .

This is last nights dinner. My girlfriend (who I have a tendency to gush over at times) made homemade pizza (including homemade crust and fresh mozzarella cheese).
Since this is a post about the beer, let's look at it:
This beer looks and tastes very similar to Blue Moon (even the name is similar to suggest it tastes like it). Like most Belgian whites, it has a citrusy taste, its unfiltered, and it is delicious. In short, how would you describe Blue Moon? Well, say the same things about Kinroo Blue!

I'd recommend this if you are a fan of Belgian whites. Its low price (about a buck a bottle in USD) and flavor make it a winner!

Want to see a little more of that pizza? My gf made the crust from scratch. She pre-browned the crust with a bit of sauce, then took the crust / sauce out. She added more sauce, slices and shredded fresh mozzarella, green peppers, and onions.
It turned out well! The crust was the crunchy, yet slightly moist in the very center of the pizza. Bottom line, the girlfriend, beer, and pizza were all great!
