Actually if I didn’t know the alcohol
content, I would never guess this beer to be above 7-8% abv

I want to give the second bottle at least one more year! WOW!
Of course, we do this for fun, but who will refuse some more SBD? Hope to be lucky this time.
But does it really age?
I've tried a homemade Blueberry strong ale (8,5% abv, made last year) when it was bottled in a few weeks, and after giving it about a year in the bottles, the taste was absolutely different. The malt sweetness reveals in a whole new level and the taste of the beer becomes smoother. For a high abv beer (6+%) it's best to give it at least six months and the beer will reward your patience.
That's why I decided to give this 11,3% beer at least 1 year and see where will it end...
Доста интересно, не се бях замислял въобще, че бирите с обикновени капачки могат да продължават да отлежават :) А срокът на годност върху бутилките трябва ли да се има предвид?
Ами бих казал, че при високоалкохолните няма почти никакво значение този срок, въпреки че има дават по година - две поне. В по-нискоалкохолните бири може и да тръгне някаква зараза, но тя по никакъв начин не би трябвало да е вредна за нас. Единствено проблемът ще бъде в кофти вкуса на бирата евентуално. Няма да е особено приятна за пиене. Иначе мисля, че четох някъде, че не е възможно да се завъдят опасни микроогранизми(за човека) в бирата.
Good to know, както се казва :) Ще взема да си купя 1-2 по-скъпи и ще ги оставя да отлежават. Бил ли си в Beera в София?
Редовно минавам от там, понеже приятелката ми е на квартира на Витошка, та ми е "под ръка" както се вика. Иначе предпочитам сякаш 100 BEERS...
