NHVIPA (420 Edition) - Armada Brewing
Beer Review
NHVIPA (420 Edition) is a 6.6% alcohol/volume New England-style IPA brewed and canned at Overshores Brewing Company in East Haven, CT exclusively for Armada Brewing. The NHVIPA stands for New Haven IPA as it was created in the New Haven area. This beer was released on April 20, 2018 for the 420 holiday. Armada launched in January of 2017 and since then they have built a fleet of delicious beer. They self-distribute their brews to 100's of retail and draft sellers across the state.

The Can
The NHVIPA (420 Edition) is served in a full pint can. The label features the famous YALE logo missing it's 'Y', effectively making it ALE. Instead of the traditional Yale colors, the 420 edition features a green background with 420 written in a pattern format. Yale is a private ivy league American university founded in 1701. It was created even before the American Revolution. Some of the most prestigious people including presidents and financial tycoons graduated from Yale.
The Beer
The NHVIPA (420 Edition) was a dank IPA as you can see. I enjoyed it during a beer share with Nick Capalbo at @kirm-it's house last weekend. We were still celebrating the 420 holiday (like we do throughout the year) and it was nice to enjoy a beer to go along with it. The NHVIPA (420 Edition) has a hint of boozy flavor but the hops made it very tolerable. It's brewed with some sticky icky Simcoe and Columbus hops to make it a hazy, hoppy experience. Overall a great beer to celebrate the holiday. I look forward to trying more beers from Armada in the future.

FYI - All your awesome IPA reviews forced me to open one of my Dogfishhead 120 Min IPAs a couple days ago. Had to feed the craving.
Good stuff!
Haha sorry to do that to you ;)
I've never tried one of those, perhaps I need to throw it on the radar!
Oh man, it is like the ultimate IPA. Very rare, not easy to get your hands on, and kinda pricey. Must try though.
Thanks brother, another majestic beer. You have an eye for good beers.
I've found IPA's to be not of my liking but I do like your review, Jeff
Have you had a chance to try any true New Negland Style IPAs? I feel they are impossible not to love
I have not, any one in particular I should be looking for?
The problem is they rarely find their way to a retail store, most have to be bought directly from the brewery. If you can ever get your hands on something from Treehouse that would be ideal.
pretty complicated name for that beer, see what IPAs will do to you? nice pictures and review though!
Thanks! The NHVIPA stands for New Haven IPA

I think you are a beer lover. Your review is so informative sir. Go on sir. Best of luck.
I liked your review and I would like to taste it. Cheers, my friend :)
excellent
Looks delicious and fresh. So rich and thick color. But quite a lot of alcohol content.
