Beer Review

Cheddar is a 7.9% Imperial/Double IPA made by Other Half Brewing Company. Other Half Brewing is a Brooklyn beer company that was founded in 2014 by three dudes that decided they wanted to "create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of." Since then they have been busting out delicious beers and also collaborating with many different beer makers. The Cheddar is a Double Dry-Hopped Imperial IPA brewed with Citra, Equinox, Kohatu and Wai-iti hops.

The Can

The Cheddar is served in a full pint can. The label features a pattern of brightly colored cheese slices floating around. It's a simple design yet I think it's great for a sharp, colorful beer named 'Cheddar'.

The Beer

I poured the Cheddar into a glass and appreciated it's fine yellow color. It was a bit hazy as expected for a beer named after cheese. It's 7.9% alcohol/volume giving it a bit of a bite, characterizing the sharpness of a cheddar cheese. It's got a citrus, fruity undertone... because fruit goes great with cheese. Overall it was a great beer. I look forward to trying more from Other Half Brewing Company in the future!
