Beer Review

Agamemnon Quadruple Maple is a 12.5% alcohol/volume Quadruple Maple Imperial Stout made by Omnipollo in conjunction with Overshores Brewing Company in East Haven, Connecticut. Omnipollo is an award winning beer maker that was founded in 2011 by Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin. They create the beer recipes and then travel to different breweries across the globe to craft the delicious ales. The Agamemnon Quadruple Maple is the Quadruple Maple version of the Omnipollo Agamemnon which was the first beer Omnipollo ever brewed in the United States.

NOA Pecan Mud Cake

The Can

The can of the Agamemnon Quadruple Maple was very vibrant. It was a bright purple color and featured a turquoise and pink genie bottle. There is a crack in the genie bottle and an eye is seen creeping out from within. In Greek mythology, Agamemnon was the son of King Atreus and Queen Aerope of Mycenae and later commanded the Greek forces in the infamous Trojan War. Overall, I really liked the can for this one. The artwork was done by Karl Grandin.

The Beer

The Agamemnon Quadruple Maple was hands down one of the greatest brews I tried all season. The maple flavor was amazing and not too overpowering. It was complimented with a rich and chocolatey marshmallow taste. At 12.5% alcohol/volume, one pint of the Agamemnon Quadruple Maple will leave you feeling amazing. Unfortunately I only managed to get my hands on one can, but I savored every drop of this delicious stout. As you can see below, when it was poured into a glass it formed a fine, creamy head. The aroma was very inviting as well. Overall this was an amazing winter stout that is sure to warm the soul.
