Beer Review

Wylder is a 8.3% Imperial/Double IPA brewed by the Relic Brewing Company in Plainville, Connecticut. Relic Brewing Company is a small batch, craft brewer that focuses mostly on IPA style beers, but over the winter I tried a few of their dark stouts and porters and they are also delicious. The Can

The Wylder is served in a a 12 ounce can. As you can see in the photo, it's a purple label with a veiny lightning bolt background. The name 'Wylder' is written on the front of the can three times in three different colors to create a trippy effect.

The Beer

The Wylder is a juicy, tropical DIPA coming in strong at a solid 8.3%abv. It has a hazy orange color when poured into a glass. At first taste you can get a glimpse of the strong pineapple and papaya flavors. The Vic Secret and Mosaic really bring out the tropical tone in this one. Overall it's a great DIPA with a fairly high alcohol content. I look forward to trying more brews from Relic Brewing Company in the future.
