This beer is one of the best in the world... and you don't know it yet!

There is no doubt that Belgian beers are the best. (Huurraaay for the home country!!!!)

But there is one brand new brewery that surprised everyone by taking home two prizes at the World Beer Awards 2017 in London.

The beer from the Ardennes region is only 8 months old. So probably you don't know it yet.
But one thing is for sure: you really have to taste this one.

Well, it is not unusual that a Belgian beer brings home a World Beer Award (the biggest brewery award show in the world). But to give a prize to such a young beer is quite a surprise.

The name of the beer? Tripick. You probably never heard of it or tasted it. The beer was created by three friends from the Ardennes, but already it seems able to compete with the big ones.

Tripick managed to convince the jury and blow the competition with 1,900 other candidates away. They did not receive one but two prizes.

The blonde version captured the prize for best high-fermented blond beer and the Triptick Triple got the price in the category 'strong' (triple fermented beers). Not bad for some simple guys from the village who decided to make a beer.

A blonde of 6% and one of 8%

Let's get serious here. How does a Triptick taste? The brewers used three kinds of hops and played with an incomparable fresh taste. The blonde Triptick has 6 percent alcohol and offers you a rich but subtle aroma with a rather creamy collar. The triple is also a blond beer, but stronger with 8 percent alcohol. That one is more bitter and has some kind of spicy flavour from the hops.

Where can you find Triptick? So far you will only find it in some bars in the vicinity of the brewery and in some places in Liège, Namur, Verviers and Mons. But also the Casino of Spa and Namur already serve it. The beer will also compete in the Brussels Beer Challenge in October. Let's see if it can capture prizes there as well.

If you have a bit of patience, you don't have to travel all the way to Belgium to taste Triptick during a weekend in the Ardennes. The brewers will expand their distribution network now that they won 2 prestigious prizes. So you will start to find it in more big stores. They also have plans to release a third beer soon.

Anyway, I am convinced and will surely get my hands on some bottles. You too?
