Norwich Homebrew competition
Been quiet for the last week, was quite busy with work but I've got one thing I kinda need to brag about.
I took part in my first ever homebrew competition and while I didn't win anything, I've done pretty damn well. Had some really good comments about my beer and all the sample bottles were drunk completely which was quite unusual as my friends' beers were not touched beyond the marking stage. It was the Brewdog homebrew competition.
The beer is the one I made a couple of months ago. Yeah, I've cheated, took shortcuts and what nots and I should probably not have entered this in a competition but .. oh well, I did :D
I got 2nd place in my category; this was a fairly small competition with only 33 entrants so only the first place in a category got a prize. I've lost to a Brett Gherkin and Cucumber beer. It was really good so I don't feel sour(hah, shitty pun :D) about it at all.
My scores were incredible for a first entry, with an average of 36/50.
Aaand .. .that's about it. Won't really review my beer as no one can really check me up on it but it's good, very moorish :D I think it's about time to get @buzzbeergeek do to some work again reviewing one of my brews maybe!
Cheers!
Did @buzzbeergeek really review one of your beers? That would be awesome.
Yeah, 2 of them, heh. Here's the relevant links: The Exchange, Beer 1, Beer 2 :D
