Natural Remedies For Sunburn

In addition, drinking plenty of water is essential. In addition, you can take the following natural remedies for mild sunburn.

Aloe Vera contains moisturizing and rich in vitamins and antioxidants. The high content of collagen in aloe helps rebuild the dermal layer much faster.
Thanks to its benefits, it is considered one of the most effective measures to reduce sunburn.
Any aloe vera gel or gel that you can get into a natural shop can work, or even use the leaves of a plant and spread the powder on your burned skin.
To ensure a more relaxing effect, apply cold cream.

To apply this measure, you will need a soft cotton cloth. For a chrysanthemum tea bag, use a glass of 250 ml water. The amount of preparation will depend on the size of your sunburn.
Before using this remedy, leave the herbal tea cold or place it in the refrigerator. Always use cold water to cool the skin. Leave the pieces for at least ten minutes on the affected areas.

The moisturizing and soothing properties of fresh milk make it an excellent sunburn treatment. These properties are mainly due to the high content of lactic acid and fatty acids in milk, which is why milk is a perfect ingredient for reducing burns.
To apply this product to your skin, use a soft cloth that you have soaked in cold milk. Leave the compressed parts for twenty minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.

Black tea contains tannins and effective antioxidants to reduce sunburn.

Let the tea bag soak in cold water until light brown (for a tea bag, use 250 ml of water).

Vinegar can eliminate germs caused by burns and relieve skin pain due to its antiseptic properties. If you have sunburn, a bottle of vinegar is a simple solution to reduce discomfort. The effect of vinegar is in the ability to balance the pH of the skin burned by the sun. It also reduces the risk of blisters after burning.

How to use it?
In a bowl, pour a large amount of vinegar, which can be distilled or apple cider vinegar. Dip a soft cloth over the vinegar and place it on the affected area. Wait 5 minutes and hit the cloth. Repeat the process if needed.

Tips to avoid sunburn

  • Avoid long exposure to sunlight from 11 am to 3 pm.
  • Apply sufficient sunscreen to the most exposed areas. Use products with protection coefficient of 30 or more.
  • If you are a regular swimmer on the beach or swimming, apply sunscreen on the skin every 2 hours.
  • Protect yourself with hat and sunglasses.

Great post. Very relevant in summer. Ayurveda, an indian science, has a lot of natural remedies. Just wanted to add a few more to compliment your post -

Ghee or clarified butter is excellent for sunburn. In fact it is a great lip balm as well. Even coconut oil or shea butter are excellent remedies for heat burn, as i have benefitted myself ftom them.

A mixture of tumeric and sandalwood can also help. Tumeric in fact is a remedy for almost any ailment you have.

Also any type of oil, someone also mentioned shea butter as well as clarified butter.
I think Camomile is good as well.
