Last Sunday, I kicked off my holiday trip to Hong Kong. Have not travelled for quite a while and #BeautifulSunday is a good time. I departed from Singapore Changi Airport and it was about 5am in the morning. They always have nice decorations for Christmas. I quickly took some pictures before I go into the departure hall.

Changi is my favorite airport. It was elected as worlds best airport for the fift year in the row.

Hands down my favorite airport! I always feel like I won the lottery if I have a long layover here!
Yes, I think you get a free time to tour a bit or just shop around but things are actually not cheap there.
I'll always be thankful they have hotel rooms at Changi. One time I was getting over a severely acute food poisoning attack and used my 9 hour layover to rest in a transit hotel. It made all the difference so I made it to my final destination feeling much better!
Actually they do. This one is very short walk to Terminal 2.

From T2 to T3 there's a train connecting or you can walk from T3 too.
But I think that's a bit expansive.
There's this other one which is one train station away which should be cheaper.

The other alternative is pay to use a lounge if you have access to one or find a spot and slip into a sleeping bag. I'll be writing about a lounge I went sometime.
