Today in this post I want to talk about my journey as an actor fit mentor. I have been working with actifit since last week November 2018 but I am quite active and regular with it since January this year onwards.

Last month @beamentor and @rosatravels announced actifit Mentor program which was officially started on 1st of May. Currently there are 12 actifit mentors including me, are working across the steem platform to bring more users onboard in Actifit.

I wanted to write this post since last week but because of the busy schedule I could not post so I am sorry for the delay. I am going to share my experience as an actifit mentor.

So since the program was officially launched on 1st May 2019 so I started finding out the potential users to bring them on steem. I tried inviting people to steem using my actifit referral link for couple of days but sadly it didn't work out for me because it was asking for payment of 5 USD. Maybe people are not interested to pay and join actifit but I am really not sure about it. Since this trick did not work for me so I started looking for exisiting steem users who never used actifit before through actifit.io website.

I short listed about 20 people who never used actifit and started connecting with them through various mediums like - comments discord, Partiko chat etc. Many people responded back and they seem to be interested and I started my mentoring process with them.
Now as on today I have over 5 members who have done over 10 rewarded actifit posts and remaining people are already working on it and I am sure within coming week they should be crossing minimum 10 post mark.

In between one of the fantastic thing happened and that's- actifit App founder @mcfarhat given a promo code to mentors so that they can invite new newbies to the platform without any payments. This helped me a lot and I onboarded many users my referral link. I am continuously working with my referred members and making them aware about the platform. I am also in sharing that they are posting everyday no matter what count they are posting but activeness is important.

I am quite positive that I'll meet the target of minimum 10 users to bring in the platform. All this looks very easy and and nice and one can easily say that doing mentorship is an easy job but it's not that much easy. There are many challenges in between. Since I already worked as a partiko mentor 2 times and under programme main focus was to Mentor new users. But here I was focusing on the existing user within steem platform and I want thinking that people will easily start using the app. Out of the people I am mentoring as of now, many of them are quite active but not all and I need to to remind them to stay active in the platform and post daily.

There are certain challenges I faced in this mentor program and few tricks I used-

Process I followed-

• I maintain an Excel list of users are I invited and was tracking everyday their progress.

• I remind them everyday to make the post.

• AFIT token exchange Initiative has also been very helpful for me to bring more users.

• I shared the process with them to exchange AFIT tokens for upvote and many of them like that because they are getting user what in 3 to 4 days time.

• In mid of may month when I saw the dropping number of users then I approached few more exisiting Steem users so that in any case I can manage the required count. It's the same strategy I followed at at the time of Partiko.

Challenges-

• I started with almost 20 people and initially I was thinking that I will do wonderful because everyone was posting continuously in initial days but few of them stopped working after couple of day.

• I even tried reaching them but couldn't get any reply which was a bit demotivating.

• Some users told me that they cannot continue because of the weather or they do not have time for it.

• Few members are quite active in Steem but they're not doing actifit and it may because they don't have time to go outside and do Walk or fitness activities.

Despite some advantages and some challenges, this journey is going good. There were some instances which were demotivating but at the same time I also understand that it's my job being a mentor and I don't feel bad at all. Everyone cannot be active and that's perfectly normal. I already started with extra members as I knew that this will happen and these buffer numbers are helping me now.

I am currently working on it and training new users to make them understand about actifit and steem and keeping track of each and everyone to ensure they are active. Though I am not revealing the exact numbers in this post but I will be sharing all in my final report.
