James Harden, finally MVP - today gala in the NBA.
Long time ago we know the NBA champion in the 2017/18 season, we also know how they chose clubs in this year's draft. For dessert, it was only handing out individual prizes for the regular season - on Monday the first MVP statuette in the career will be picked up most probably by James Harden.
This is the second year in which the NBA is organizing this type of ceremony at the end of the season. Prizes will be distributed in all individual categories like MVP, the best defender or the biggest progress, but we will also learn about the best play of the season. Most attention is given, of course, to the prize for the most valuable player of the regular season.
The finalists are three: James Harden, Anthony Davis and LeBron James. The clear favorite, however, is one and everything indicates that the Houston Rockets player will receive the MVP statuette on Monday evening. Harden was not only the league's top scorer with an average of 30.4 points per game, but he also led his team to the best in the NBA balance of 65 wins and 17 losses.
This year's gala will take place in Los Angeles, and this is a special place for Harden, because a visit to the City of Angels is like a return home for him. The 28-year-old was born in California and it was in L.A. he made his first steps on the basketball floor. He will not be alone at the ceremony - teammates will appear, of which Eric Gordon and Clint Capela are nominated for other prizes.
Interestingly, Harden has already won one MVP award for the regular season - he won the vote of the players. Official vote - as every year conducted among accredited journalists - took place after the end of the regular season, therefore the result certainly did not affect the defeat of Rockets in the final of the conference with the Golden State Warriors.

Just imagine if the Thunder didn't trade him, where would that team be now?
He is a great scorer, I still don't like that he doesn't play defense and in clutch playoff games he isn't clutch. I know Chris Paul wasn't in game 7 but in that 2nd half what did harden shoot?

In my opinion, Lebron will play in the LA Lakers.
Harden in Thunder was only a substitute (6th man). After going to Houston he jumped to a higher level.
He could have started on that team, small ball wasn't being played at that time. I think lebron will go to the lakers but will the keep ball?
