Balkano survivor pt1: 5 ways to make some extra money on Balkans
Situation on Balkans taught us that you can't survive only with your salary.
Many people is moonlighting, but most of them illegal. So we have our own ways to make some spare money. Street musicians are not appreciated here as somewhere else, so this is not a post about them.
1. You can steal some figs from your neighbor's tree and sell them to some tourist for 10 times higher price than on market. Just use a words "eco", "ecological" or "natural". They are crazy about these things!
2. I've already written on Steemit about collecting empty plastic bottles. People here don't care for the environment and you can find those bottles anywhere and return them in the purchase station. It will get you 0.50kn (0.08$) per bottle.
3. You can find unusual rock on the beach and write "Dalmatia" on it using nail polish. You can sell it to tourists for unreasonable high price and they will love it (future tourists, this is a warning for you, so don't allow to be cheated here).
4. The most of the people don't lock their cars and they always have some spare coins in it. Just walk around a parking lot and grab some coins.
5. This is the most lucrative way to make some extra money on Balkans - old metal collecting. You can sell old iron wires that you can find everywhere around, you can search from junkyard to junkyard to find some iron, brass, aluminium or copper. Copper is the most expensive and you can sell it to purchase station for 4$ per kilo. You can steel some copper wire from electrical substations and remove isolation from it. When you go to sell it, nobody will ask you where did you get it from!

haha! in bulgaria every third car has an alarm that whistles at you if you make a loud noise near it, always whoot whoot every time the motorcycles go past.
also you forgot hustling! i have not been in croatia but in many other nearby countries is also cigarette sellers. in budapest near central station these people stand around saying tsigi tsigi like they lost something, and sell you untaxed cigarettes.
Thank you for for reply, we have domestic tobacco here, 45 eur per kilo
you can even sometimes find it cheaper. i was kicking myself for not buying some in Serbia when I had the chance... even cheaper than Croatia there. Even in the shop about 20% cheaper than Bulgaria.
Hahaha balkans rules
