During the first month of the Kiwi season in Te Puke, it rained almost every day so we barely worked. Since we had nothing to do, we spent most of the time drinking cheap wine in any of the different caravans at the Holiday Park.

One week of this crappy weather month, there was a Jazz festival in Tauranga, that is about half an hour from Te Puke. As we were very bored of drinking cheap wine at the Holiday Park we planned to go drinking cheap wine at the Jazz festival.

We went there the last day of the festival because we thought that the last day would be the best day. But since the moment we arrived in Tauranga, the people that we asked about the festival said that it had finished one day before.

When we were almost giving up on our quest, we found a place where the last event of the Festival was hosted. We parked, took our "wine in a box" and walked toward the entrance.

Twenty dollars a ticket!!! Twenty dollars that none of us wanted to pay because we couldn't even get inside with our "wine in a box"!!!

Lucas; "the babyface Czech", thought that there was a way to enter the festival without paying, so he went exploring while we were drinking some Argentinian "mates" in the park.

After 20 minutes he returned full of dirt and grass in his clothes but very happy because he had made it into the festival 'I was in', he said.

The two Argentinians decided not to go with us because they were 'pelotudas'. Everyone else followed the 'baby face' up and down the little mountain behind the festival.

MK and I were the last to come down, we saw a security person walking in the direction where we were. I didn't know if he had seen me coming down the mountain or not but, I decided to act normal and pretend that I had paid my ticket. I went to the food place, bought something to eat and a cup which I filled with my wine without anyone noticing.

After buying my stuff I found all the others dancing near the stage, no one had noticed that we were there without paying. In fact few minutes after, we were approached by a reporter and asked if he could take a picture of us for the newspaper. And that is how we appeared in the "Bay of Plenty Times" after crashing into a jazz festival.
