Abandoned Shit Weekly Contest- No. 13- "Stairs"

This week is 'Stairs' and I chose this old set of stairs that lead to what used to be the office in what is now an abandoned tobacco warehouse here in Wisconsin. ASW RULES

Although most people think of tobacco as a southern crop, tobacco growing in Wisconsin peaked just after WW1. The variety grown by farmers here was Binder leaf (Binder Leaf is a layer inside a cigar that lies between the wrapper leaf and the filler) In the second half of the century, wrapper leaf and chew became the dominant varieties. Tobacco production in Wisconsin has almost disappeared and the old warehouses are being turned into condos.
