[AskSteemIt] - What is your crypto portfolio strategy?

Given the recent fervor in the market, and the increased attention from more mainstream individuals, what is your crypto portfolio strategy?

Do you feel its best to hold onto a few of the big 'stable' ones?
Do you aim for a few of the high-risk/high-reward ones?
What kind of percentages do you place in each?

As for myself:

I have the majority in the big two of Ethereum and BTC.
I have a small spread among a few of the more more speculative plays such as Lisk, NEM, Golem, Factom, WeTrust, Storj, and of course, Steem.

I tend to believe more in platforms and always download their wallets or nodes before investing, additionally, I love the products that I can download and use myself - such as Storj and Steem.

How is everyone diversifying (or not) their crypto portfolio?

My strategy is actually opposite to yours, I have my money mostly in alts such as WaBi, Substratum, Power Ledger etc. I have invested in over 20+ alts and everything is green these days. Real test will be how they perform when market is not so bullish.

I am curious how much of the rise is just based on awareness and knowledge.
i.e. Some Baby boomers suddenly became aware of Coinbase, but have no knowledge of the underlying ecosystems or tech.

Yes, the market is in a state right now that the word crypto is enough to cause the spike.

I´m about 70% Cardano and 30% Waves (slightly varying % dependent on what I´m stacking atm) and as long there are no better alternatives out there for me. My focus is on 3rd Gen Cryptos and platform technology as well as decentralized trading - and most importantly PoS.
Watching EOS and BitShares for future endeavors...

I may have to research Cardano. It seems to have come out of no where.

Please do - it´s a science based 3rd gen crypto, developed by an international team (incl. people who developed Ether and other innovations in blockchain tech) - it´s as solid as something in crypto can get - you may start with the video in my post here: https://busy.org/cardano/@atmosblack/cardano-know-what-you-are-getting-into
