Welcome to my official online blog, @craigahamilton here on Steemit, a social media network that rewards its users for producing and sharing original content on the Internet. Hey, I know it's been a while, at least for a few months, I've been real busy with plans for releasing all-new material in 2019. Steemit has undergone several massive operational updates and noticibly increased performance, with the latest HF20 blockchain protocol and the upcoming development of Smart Media Tokens. I am very excited to return to regularly posting content to Steemit because I believe that this time is a great investment in the future of communication. Of late, I've started to save up funds [fiat $$$] for massive upgrades sorely needed of my studio. Honestly, it looks a mess right now and in need of expansion on storage solutions, a setup for live-streaming, and possibly a new computer to harness it all. Initially, I'm attempting to build out a more comfortable, more capable creative space to completing original graphics manually by hand, then after developing illustrations upon my light table, post-process digital color, and motion on a more agile computer.

Here's what it looks like at the moment...:

Installation goals:

a. Power solutions for additional devices; surge protection for appliances
b. Storage, for flat file and rolled, solid-state digital data drives;
c. Tools and production equipment, markers, pigments, paper;
d. Lighting, task-oriented;
e. Studio lighting, focus detail for live stream and photo documenting imagework;
f. Design tools and production equipment, printers, plotting, die-cut drafting;
g. Additional paper and penstock for at minimum (3) three months operation.
h. Produce original illustrations, for use in consumer product, print publication, and exclusive release for promotional uses;

As time goes on, it's with your continued support that I can accomplish my list in due time for the 1st quarter of 2019.

Process

1. Sketch -
   First, highlight a Topic with [word] used in a narrative sentence - designate a Genre to set the context of narrative to the illustration; Getting the ideas down on paper, laying out the overall composition, and organizing references, up to ≤ 10 sketches lay the foundation for a final image to be constructed.

2. Draft -
   Once a composition can be arranged from references and configure elements into a cohesive design, an illustration is made final by hand in ink on paper for collectors' consumption. After initial direction is chosen, scaling and sizing, and mock-up elements for Final Art.

3. Line (Final Art) -
   Final Art is the Illustration, served publicly as "Artist Proofs", limited-edition analog copies done by hand, will be made available under RESERVE ONLY for gracious patrons to collect and/or resell at cost. Once Final Art is inked in place, details added, and a replicable analog ("Proof") is produced.

Prototype

Every week, I release all-new original graphic images, readily available as wall decor to wearables, on sale through Society6.com. There, visitors can browse through dozens of illustrations that with a single click can be transformed into ready-to-own collectibles, housewares, and outerwear for the home and headspace.

≤10 Sketches x Drafts = Final Art = Print + Decals; Decals = Apparel + Decor

Color (Post Process) -
Post-production of assets created for print, products, publication, and promotion or distribution. I use both Photoshop and Illustrator to produce color and elements in my artwork. Combined, I utilize their digital tools to create custom graphics, text, and chroma to finalized illustrations done by hand.

As for future releases, I'd like to publish seasonal compilations of images as collections covering a variety of subject matter and themes. Exclusively for my subscriber base, I'll make available digital assets for study and independent experimentation. There's always my mail-order subscription program (Patreon Link) so, anyone can subscribe and earn collectibles at every tier.

Through using Steemit to share my content, I aim to further publish my artwork as a digital catalog of sorts here that online audiences can share and enjoy my work in long-form. Also, with images accompanying original writing, a "zine" made available in PDF format is a possiblity for subscribers. I hope taking these measures are integral to secure delivering high-quality results to my work ongoing.
