Introduction | 简介
In a visit to Gardens by the Bay shooting dinosaurs sometime ago, I also took some pictures of sculptures there. Today, I share with you another sculpture. This is Chinese totem pole. More information about Chinese Totem Pole can be found at this Wikipedia's site: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huabiao but I have snapped a summary of that for you reference.
Meanwhile, some music for you to enjoy as you read. This piece is part of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, particular the first of the 4 violin concertos, called Spring.

On the left and right are these guardians.
Look at the details of this thing.
What do you think of the Chinese Totem pole. Does it remind you any anything? To me, it's sort of like the staff or stick use by the Monkey King but you will probably understand only if you know bit about the story of the Monkey King.

They're pretty impressive, must have taken some time to make. The natives on Canada's west coast make them using trees. I would like to have the Monkey Kings staff.
I'm sure. I‘ve seen some of the Vancouver ones long time ago.
You can try search taobao for 金箍棒。some of them are pretty cool.
