D.I.Y Family Picture Frame

Motherhood had brought so many things new to me and i never thought i can do such things like these that i am going to share with you.. what i am talking about? arts.. diy.. crafting , things like that, i see myself as not really good in that field , but i guess , if you're a mom , you can really be anyone and do ANYTHING , even those you thought you can't , out of LOVE for your kids. So here i am presenting to you a family picture , that has a D.I.Y. frame ..

There , it is a requirement we've just submitted earlier for Alex's school ( day care center) . It might look so simple to you ( well, i just really love simple, mostly plain colors for things) but! here are the process it went through , before it became like that.

These are just the things i used to make it.

*Used illustration board
*bond papers and colored papers on Alex's envelope
*scissors
*glue
*pencil
*designed ruler
*actual photo

First i asked my sis-in-law to print this family picture of us . This one's taken during Freia's ( my youngest) 1st bday/christening . That's our latest best photo together , LOL. We don't usually take photos in normal days and as you know we're not complete always because my son is with her grandma and grandpa in the province (village) .

After that , i cut one photo from that 4 copies . While i was cutting i was still thinking what design to put on it, i tried checking google , asked my family on our GC at messenger, LOL

After cutting the photo , i just thought of pasting it to a bond paper to make a white background . Still working on my ideas at this moment about how to make this artistic somehow. Then i cut it out from the bond paper.

This time , i paste it on the black side of the illustration board coz i already have a bit of an idea what i wanted to do with it.

Cut it out from the board and that moment i got lots of idea about what the design is going to be.

There , i used the pencil and this kinda like designed ruler? to make a line and cut out a little portion of the pink paper.

I made it as a boarder for the illustration board , so the 'not so perfect' cut edge won't be obvious , haha.

Next to it , i did used of this feeding bottle ring to draw small circles

I made that to white , blue , green , purple , nude colored papers , for it to be the actual design

then i paste it in a whatever position just on two corners first to see what it's going to look like.

Almost done and it seems to already look like something , haha. but i thought of cutting some thin red colored paper to add life to the white portion. Then paste it without overlapping it on the circles.

There you go!!! a very simple DIY picture frame , i also added red and white circles at the bottom left corner , while adding in 3 heart shape on the top right , just to make a balance i think .

I made this like 3- 4 hours i think , of course with some pause and breaks because of the kulit girls and snacks on the side , haha. I am satisfied on what i did , maybe not because i never thought i can always to these artsy things now but more because i have accomplished something for my daughter.

Watch out for this , i am currently working on it and thinking of sharing this first time to do thingy as well.
