'survivor' digital sketch
Hi everyone I hope you are all having a great day today!
Today I had a litte bit more time to sketch, so I'm really happy about that! And I think my sketch is quite nice today, so I'm happy abut that too :D
He is a 'survivor', but what happened to him is up to you to decide, because in not that good at stories :D
I'm really happy with how this turned out, it look's better than my most sketches haha :D But also today I can see really clearly what I should improve, like the hands...my anatomy skills on them are quite low. Secondly is values, I never push them enough I believe.
Tha being said let's look at some process pictures ^^
Sketchy sketch, I tried to be as UN-messy as possible today, I think it worked out great :D
I added a soft background early on today, because I realized I'm an idiot for not doing it before :D When you do your values and then add the background usually it messes things up, stuff doesnt look dark enought most of the times.
Darkening stuff up, I try to follow the natural shapes of things with my brushtrokes the best I can.
pretty much done, but I make a little bit of photoshop editing to make everything just a tiny bit darker and we're done :)

Very beautiful job @wilnonis. It not only nice but it fabulous. You did sketch the expression well. And indeed he was a survival and could see from your drawing. The hand looks good to me in your sketch. Maybe it a bit blur when you applied the dark color. When i saw this, it looks like some animate figure. Are you an animation artist?
Oh thank you very much! No, I'm not an animator, but it is an interest of mine and I did try it for a while, but it didin't go anywhere. I didin't really have that much patience to animate things :D
oh haha.. good that you have the interest. Patience really a weird thing, i myself is a person who lack of patience as well..hehe But you have talent in drawing. As me, i love to see all the nice drawing because i have no talent in art :p

The first thing that came to my mind was cupid's bow and arrow :D I really don't know why but it might be his expression :) He's looking at the arrow like it was the most precious thing in the whole world :)

Ouh yea, now that you mentioned it does kinda look like cupid, I did make his eyes look very gentle accidentaly :D Happy accidents I guess :D

Nice sketch, wilnonis :D. I like that you keep challenging yourself into drawing something new, I think this is the best way to improve :).
I think the pose here is done nicely, the body language and expression of the man shows that though he's a good hunter, he also has a gentler side on him.

And thank you once more, I did kinda make him look gentle by accident, but that's a happy accident in my oppinion :D
