Today I will present to you the first of a series of drawings which will be based on a specific theme ... "the types of compositions".

The composition that we will deal with today is called:

ASYMMETRICAL

To begin with I will explain what an asymmetric composition is about

An asymmetric composition can be said to be like the irregular and free distribution of the elements whose masses are balanced as a whole. Asymmetric composition means that one part weighs more than the other. Most of the time it can be established that this inequality is established with respect to an axis perpendicular to the parts. Describe the inequality between parts of a whole.

In design and art, asymmetric compositions offer better results than symmetrical ones and, in general, they are more striking. This is due to such reasons:

• The asymmetry expresses more freedom in the composition and in turn the elements are organized hierarchically.

• Establish the balance between the most striking part and the rest of the composition.

• The symmetrical compositions are more easily mononas. The asymmetric ones usually awaken more the interest of the spectator.

The asymmetric implies nothing more inequality, no imbalance. The opposite of symmetry.

MATERIALS

For the elaboration of this drawing we need the following materials:

Letter size sheet.

Graphite pencil.

Black fine point marker.

---

Watercolors of colors (Dark blue, light blue, purple, orange, yellow, red).

Paints cold colors (Blue, yellow, orange).

ELABORATION PROCESS

Then I will show you through pictures the elaboration of this drawing

Step 1

You start drawing the drawing on the sheet using the graphite pencil, make guidelines and reference lines to shape the figure we have set out to make.

Step 2

We emphasize with the fine point black marker the drawing so that the figure stands out in a very beautiful shape and it is defined a little more.

Step 3

We finish giving details to our drawing with the watercolors and the paintings until achieving the blur of the colors.
