Meet My Original Character, "RED" + CHIBI version (Drawing Process)

Heya beautiful people!
@tegoshei here! ^^ How's it going?


In this post, I'm going to show you the drawing process as to how I created my original character, RED. You might have seen him in my previous post HERE, but I would like to show you more of how he's created. :)





Now, let's start with the drawing process.


First, I tried to imagine and made a rough draft of my OC using pencil on my sketchpad.

Once I felt satisfied with the draft, I traced it using ArtLine pens in order to make the line art.





After the line art, I erased the pencil sketch and started coloring him. I started with the hair, the skin and lastly the clothes. I don't know why I chose red, but I just felt like doing so when creating him. lol














Sorry if it's a bit dark and blurry. I just noticed it when the pictures were transferred on my PC. xD Anyway, after completing the drawing, I placed my username, signature and the date. :)





And... TADAH!!! RED was born. Isn't he handsome? lol Sorry~ I was just happy with the result. hihihi


Now, let's make the chibi version of RED. :D Well, I basically did the same steps in making the chibi version, so I'll just show you the pictures below. ^^

















BTW, the paper I drew CHIBI Red on is a bit glossy... and I think the colors are better on it. Or is it just me? Well, using colored pencils on vellum board (which is glossier than sketchpad) looks great. Is there a vellum board pad? hahaha xD

If I get the chance, I want to draw RED and Chibi RED digitally. I haven't used my pentab for almost a week now. huhuhu I should take a day off soon, but I can't.. yet. xD Anyway, I'll end my post here. I just got lucky to get the time to post since my student is absent. haha
